I hit me cold when I saw the virus-scanner’s red message was jumping on the screen. Administering www.weimar.de it is no fun, having a virus-warning on the frontpage of an official website.

The reason was OpenX, Version 2.8.1. which I updated to 2.8.5. – which seemed too late since the database was affected. I got this code within my banner-js:

Checking all php-files (no, actually most important these three:

• /var/yourdomain.conf.php
• /adjs.php
• /www/delivery/ajs.php

)

I found nothing. Check it anyway, because in some cases it’s a direct hack within those files (at the very beginning or the end).

So I checked my database , the table phpads_banners (or openx_banners) and found nothing obvious. The malicious code is hidden within the BLOB-fields (which content you can only see if enabled within myPhpAdmin) and therefore there’s one thing you can do: Set the fields:

• prepend
• append
• html_cache
• html_template

empty!

I rigourously cleared out all the sh*t by doing this simple statement:

UPDATE `my_db`.`phpads_banners` SET `append` = NULL,`prepend` = NULL,`htmltemplate` = NULL, `htmlcache` = NULL WHERE 1;

Nein, (Web)projekte sind nie “finished”. Leider. Aber, ehrlich, langsam wird es Zeit für was neues. Das einzig wirklich noch Interessante ist papervision3D // Flex 4 (Gumbo)… aber eigentlich ist Digitales irgendwie Zeitverschwendung. Abgesehen von der Strom-Frage: (Was sind wir ohne Strom?) Überangebot macht müde. Wir sind müde, weil wir voll sind und leer zugleich. Die neueste Masche der Brain-Wash-Mafia ist es ja, das subtile Gefühl zu vermitteln, daß man was verpaßt, wenn man mal einen Tag aussteigt aus der Medienflut. — und ich bin auch noch einer der vielen Architekten. Nee, neeee danke…. ich will’n Baum und ne Wiese. Und mein Fahrrad und die KDI…

A simple XML driven gallery (noooo way, not another one!). I like cubes. So I made an exploding wall. Sorry, no source – it’s too crappy. Anyway: Additionally there will be some more functionality if I ever find time. Physics for instance…

Es ist vollbracht. DAS Projekt 2009 ist online. Ohne viel TamTam, jedoch mit der Hoffnung auf Medienwirksamkeit: der TU Ilmenau Studyfinder. Was mit einem samstäglichen Experiment auf dem Küchenfußboden begann, ist nun im Netz. Obwohl das Projekt anfänglich auf Flash & Papervision3D abzielte, ist es ein reines AS3-2D-Projekt geblieben. Dabei wurde eine Extension für das neue Typo3-System der TU geschrieben, welche Redakteuren die komfortable Pflege der Flash-Inhalt gestattet.
